STEPP is a structured system for sourcing, evaluating, and executing innovative partnership between the Stanford Department of Emergency Medicine and innovators like you. About STEPP

  • How STEPP Works

    The STEPP evaluation process involves multiple stages to ensure alignment and optimal fit for a possible collaboration:

    1. Complete the online interest form

    2. You’ll receive an email within two weeks to set up a screening meeting with one of our physician innovators

    3. If there appears to be a fit you’ll meet with subject matter experts from our department to evaluate your technology and solidify the terms of the partnership

    4. Your team will present the partnership opportunity to department leadership

    5. We identify faculty to staff a project team to work closely with you throughout the partnership

  • Who Should Apply

    We are open to partnerships in a wide variety of areas but are particularly interested in organizations advancing technology in:

    • Medical Devices

    • Digital health

    • Artificial Intelligence

    • Health care at Home

    • Remote patient monitoring.

    Ultimately we are interested in any innovation that will help advance the field of emergency medicine.
